- The International Garden Photographer of the Year (IGPOTY) competition is now in its thirteenth year and is probably the world's most prestigious competition for garden, plant and botanical photography, with entries from around the world. - Another fascinating local website is "For the love of a Railway", which celebrates the historic Axminster to Lyme Regis railway line. This took passengers through the beautiful scenery of Devon and Dorset until it was closed as part of the short-sighted cost saving measures of the mid-nineteen sixties. The group started as a novel idea to temporarily fill an empty Axminster restaurant window with a live model of the famous old railway line. From that came a group of wonderfully talented volunteers with a wider mission to create a long-term visitor centre to attract people tothe town - and have some fun while doing it, The website can be found here: For the Love of a Railway
